Track: You Ain’t the Problem
When Goalhanger Films was commissioned by ITV Sport to produce the titles for Euro 2020 back in December 2019, the world was a much different place. But as the tournament approached, they knew they had to acknowledge the changes that had occurred. So, they set out to create something that was more relatable, focusing on the joy of coming together as a family and having fun, even if it meant getting a little silly.
As a member of the team, I had the thrilling opportunity to work on the character rigging and animation of the football players. I was also involved in helping out on a few VFX/Compositing shots. It was a blast to be a part of something that had the potential to be seen by millions of people across the United Kingdom. And as the tournament progressed, the viewership numbers only continued to soar.
Though the English team didn't bring home the trophy, we put our hearts and souls into creating a title sequence that would be as memorable for fans as the tournament itself.
